Thursday April 26-Saturday April 28 The Foley Freeze attended the First World Championship in Detroit. At this competition there were 400 teams broken down into 6 divisions. The Foley Freeze competed in the Curie divisions with 67 teams. After our qualification matches we were chosen to be in the sixth seeded alliance. This alliance brought us to the quarterfinals where we lost in a tie-breaker match. In our division and our sister division, Darwin, we won Innovation in Controls for the second time this season. We won this award because of our program Nessie. Nessie is a program that controls the arms on the robot and we also use it to program the robot to go from point A to point B. This was our last competition of the 2018 season and we would like to thank all of our seniors and we wish them the best of luck in their future.
