Foley Freeze Finalists of Troy District, Wins Autonomous Award

After seeding fifth overall in the qualifying rounds at the Troy District, The Foley Freeze placed second with their alliance partners The Adambots (FRC 245) and Wingspan (FRC 6117). The Freeze led exciting quarter-and semi-finals matches, claiming victory in the tiebreaker match each tier; the team ultimately finished as finalists and brought home a silver medal.

In addition, the judges awarded the team the Autonomous Award sponsored by Ford for the robot’s camera tracking and automated game piece pickup and scoring.

The performance at this competition, plus achievements at the Center Line district, secures the team a spot at the Michigan State Championship at Saginaw Valley.
